Well, what can I say........I had the honor of photographing Brittany & Doug's engagement session yesterday. What a fun couple. Although the winds off the lake were cold to say the least, the warmth emanating from Brittany & Doug was amazing. Brittany's Aunt Claudia tagged along and assisted me with the shoot. An awesome time was had by all. There's no sense in me telling you what fun we had....I'll let the images speak for themselves.........
The Carnival......
Took a ride over to the Bartlett Carnival over 4th of July weekend. Wow, did it bring back memories of when I was little! What fun.... I experimented with some long exposures and these are my results....My friend George tagged along and was befriended by a butterfly. Stayed attached to his shirt for almost 15 minutes. A sure sign of good luck! I have to say a good time was had by all....even the mosquitos whom I donated at least a pint of blood to! LOL :-)
Jen & Jon's Engagement.......
In mid April I took a road trip up to Milwaukee for an engagement session with Jen & Jon....you may remember that one weekend when it was almost 80 degrees and WINDY....We started out at the Milwaukee Art Museum...what a neat place. Amazing architecture and right on the lake. Can't ask for a better location for photos than that. We eventually wound our way back into the city and then up north to the beach. All in all a great day and what an awesome couple. I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding a few weeks later. Jon is a former model and I have worked with him on several shoots. What a great couple...I have a feeling they have many years of happiness ahead of them. I hope you enjoy their photos as much as we did capturing them......... :-)
Burba Model Shoot
OK, I know it's been awhile since I posted but as they say, some things are worth waiting for....
I had the distinct pleasure of working with Evaldas Burba (up and coming model) this past weekend. What a great series of images we captured! Here are some samples from our session. Although rather new to modeling, he was great and took cues similar to a much more experienced model. Very professional and just a pleasure to work with. Since posting the images on his Model Mayhem account, he's received over 30 comments. We're planning another shoot soon so don't forget to check back!

Garfield Park Conservatory Outing
Had a great time on Saturday with the Focused Meetup group. Spent the morning at the Garfield Park Conservatory on the West side of Chicago. Met a bunch of new photographers including Claudia the groups organizer. What a great bunch of people and lots of fun too. Here's a few samples of the beautiful plants and flowers housed in the conservatory. Enjoy......
Urban Blight - Photographs of Gary IN
Recently took a road trip down to Gary, IN with some fellow photographers. In it's hey day, Gary was a bustling urban metropolis. Having fallen on hard times with the collapse of the steel mills, today Gary is a pale shadow of it's former self. I'll let you be the judge after viewing some images from our outing.
Brenda & Bernie, May 30th, 2009
Well, my first post. I had the pleasure of photographing Brenda and Bernie's Wedding on May 30th at the Boulder Ridge Country Club. I have to say it was a beautiful day for a wedding and Brenda and Bernie and their friends and family made it all the more fun. Although older in years, these two are still young at heart. Here are a few photos from their special day.... I'll let you be the judge.
